Day One: Country Inn & Suites, Fargo ND Travel day. Our overnight stay will be in Fargo, ND.
Day Two: AmericInn, Medora ND Today we travel to Medora, ND. We will make a stop at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Chateau de Mores, a hunting and summer home built in 1883 by the wealthy French nobleman, the Marquis de Mores. Tonight enjoy an included Pitchfork Steak Fondue, a unique western dinner, with a magnificent sunset as our backdrop. Savor your steak while serenaded with western melodies of the Medora Musical performed at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre in the outdoor splendor of the Badlands.
Day Three: Holiday Inn, Cody WY This morning we travel to Cody, WY. We will view the Buffalo Bill Historic Center’s impressive collection of western art, firearms, and western culture and traditions. With Yellowstone Park in the Center's "backyard," this is the place to start a Yellowstone visit.
Day Four: Comfort Inn, Gardiner MT A short drive takes us to Yellowstone National Park. Spend the day inside the park enjoying its many natural treasures and wildlife including bear, wolf, bison, and elk. Preserved within the park is a collection of the world’s most extraordinary hot springs, geysers, and rock formations including Yellowstone’s Grand Canyon and Old Faithful.
Day Five: Painted Buffalo Inn, Jackson Hole WY Today, we continue to explore Yellowstone. Our journey takes us through The Grand Teton National Park, home to one of the most recognizable mountain landscapes in the world, and into Jackson Hole, WY. Don’t miss the shoot-out in town square tonight.
Day Six: LaQuinta Inn, Casper WY We trace the steps of the pioneers as we cross the Continental Divide and follow the Oregon Trail to our hotel in Casper, WY. The way is dotted with ghost towns, open prairie, and natural beauty.
Day Seven: First Gold Hotel Casino, Deadwood SD Today we make our way to Deadwood, SD. Along the way we will make a stop at Devil’s Tower which rises 1267 feet above the Belle Fourche River. The 1347 acre park is covered with pine forests, woodlands, and grasslands. We will spend two nights in Deadwood.
Day Eight: We journey through the Black Hills. First, we visit the masterpiece in progress, Crazy Horse Monument. After lunch we travel the Iron Mountain Road to America’s most inspirational symbol of democracy, Mount Rushmore. This evening you can enjoy the excitement of the gold rush in Deadwood.
Day Nine: Brimark Inn, Sioux Falls SD We travel to Sioux Falls, SD through the Badlands National Park with its landscapes of buttes, spires, and rolling grasslands.
Day Ten: Travel Home. |
