Day One:  Drury Inn & Suites, Fenton, MO

Embark on our journey. Travel to St. Louis.

 

Day Two:  Hampton Inn & Suites,  Richardson ,TX

Today, travel to Dallas.

 

Day Three:  Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio, TX

This morning we will be visiting the Dallas Heritage Village. The Village is a living history museum portraying the life in North Texas from 1840 to 1910. The museum consists of 38 historic buildings and boasts a working Civil War era farm, school, and church. After lunch it is off to San Antonio where we will spend three nights on the scenic River Walk at the Drury Plaza Hotel. Our schedule affords us plenty of free time to explore The River Walk’s multiple personalities - quiet and park-like in some stretches, while other areas are full of activity with European-style sidewalk cafes, specialty boutiques, nightclubs and gleaming high-rise hotels.

 

Day Four:  Today we will enjoy a city tour of San Antonio that will highlight the city’s colorful history, architecture and people. Sites include The Mission of San Jose, King William Historic District, The Alamo, Spanish Governor’s Palace and Tower of the America’s. The modern skyscrapers with 18th century restorations make this one of America’s most picturesque cities. We will also relax on a cruise along the scenic Paseo Del Rio.

 

Day Five:  Today we will travel to the Heart of the Texas Hill Country to visit the LBJ Ranch and Historic Park. The Ranch consists of the reconstructed birthplace, the family cemetery and final resting place of President Johnson, The Texas White House, the ranch show barn area, and the one-room junction schoolhouse. This 600 acre ranch rests along the banks of the Pedernales River where Hereford cattle, white-tailed deer and turkey flourish. 

 

Day Six:  Hampton Inn & Suites,  Richardson ,TX

We arrive in Dallas in time for lunch in the West End Historic District. History awaits a couple blocks away at Dealey Plaza. We will visit the Sixth Floor Museum and   relive the life, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. Afterwards a city tour will highlight the “Big D.”

 

Day Seven:   Drury Inn & Suites, Fenton, MO

Travel to St Louis.

 

Day Eight:  Travel Home.
