Day 1:  Drury Inn & Suites Arnold, MO

Join us as we embark on a unique cultural experience.

 

Day 2:  Diamond Jacks Vicksburg, MS

Making our way south, we stop in Memphis for lunch, on your own, on

historic Beale Street. Tonight, try your luck at the adjoining casino.

 

Day 3:  Drury Inn & Suites New Orleans, LA

This morning we visit the Vicksburg National Military Park, a national

cemetery and memorial commemorating the Civil War battle fought here. A short journey after lunch brings us to our hotel which is located conveniently near the French Quarter. This evening we will enjoy the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras World, where we view splendid costumes and memorabilia from previous carnival seasons.

 

Day 4:  Drury Inn & Suites New Orleans, LA

A local guide takes us on a tour of this extraordinary area. From the

architecture and natural beauty to the recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina, this diverse city will amaze you. An included lunch is served at the iconic

Court of Two Sisters restaurant, a dining experience that won’t be forgotten. This evening we will enjoy a Jazz cruise on the Creole Queen.

 

Day 5:  La Quinta Inn Morgan City, LA

Our Cajun Country journey begins with a boat ride through the mysterious Atchafalaya Basin swamp for an up close view of animals native to Southern Louisiana. Later we will visit “Mr. Charlie,” the first submersible oil rig and learn about the importance of the oil industry to this area.

 

Day 6:  Hampton Inn, Hammond, LA

Our first stop today is the Tabasco factory where we’ll see how this famous pepper sauce is made and shipped around the world. Enjoy a stop at an

authentic plantation. Finish the day with a visit to the Louisiana State

Museum.

 

Day 7:  Drury Inn & Suites Cape Girardeau, MO

Our travels take us back through Missouri. We will have an included dinner

at Lambert’s Café before arriving at our hotel.

 

Day 8:  Homeward bound.
