Day 1:  La Quinta Inn, Macedonia, OH  

Youkoso! WELCOME! 2012 marks the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Cherry Blossom Festival which started with the gift of the 3,000 cherry trees from Japan. Come and enjoy the spirit of the season. Today we will travel to Ohio. 

 

Day 2:  Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, McLean, VA  

We continue our journey to the nation’s capitol. This afternoon we visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of The National Air and Space Museum. This evening we take an illuminated tour of monuments and memorials.

 

Day 3:  Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, McLean, VA 

Stop at the World War II Memorial before visiting Capitol Hill. This area includes the US Capitol Building, House and Senate Office Buildings, Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. Free time this afternoon to explore your interests at a Smithsonian Museum or other points of interest.

 

Day 4:  Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, McLean, VA  

Visit the Vietnam Memorial before enjoying the National Cherry Blossom Parade from our reserved seats. This afternoon visit Arlington National Cemetery where we will view the Kennedy gravesites and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.

 

Day 5:  Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, McLean, VA  

The home of George and Martha Washington, Mount Vernon, awaits. Afterwards we have free time in Old Town Alexandria before taking a cruise down the

Potomac River. This afternoon visit more major monuments and memorials.

 

Day 6:  La Quinta Inn, Macedonia, OH

Drive along Embassy Row on our way to visit the National Cathedral. Afterwards we have free time in Georgetown before bidding farewell to Washington and

traveling to Ohio.

 

Day 7:  Travel home with memories of the American experience.
