Day 1:  Amish Acres Inn, Nappanee IN

Today we will travel through Michigan and Wisconsin into Indiana. Our home for the next three nights will be the Inn at Amish Acres in Nappanee, Indiana. Enjoy a hearty supper served in the century old Restaurant Barn this evening.

Day 2:

This morning we head for the Shipshewana Flea Market. You will find gifts, crafts, handcrafted furniture and antiques, collectibles, and food items displayed by more than 1,000 vendors. Next, we are off to Amish Acres where we can explore the historic eighty acre farm and heritage resort. Here the simple life of Amish society is echoed through historic interpretation, dining, lodging, theatre, countryside tours, baked goods, and quaint shops. We will get an overview of the historic farm on a sixteen foot covered farm wagon pulled by an International Harvester H tractor before sampling local wine in the Barn Loft Wine Tasting Room. Tonight, enjoy a threshers dinner at the century old Restaurant Barn, followed by the Broadway musical Plain and Fancy in the majestic 1911 Round Barn Theatre.

Day 3:

This morning embrace the pace of Nappanee with a leisurely ride out to the countryside. Meet the Kuhn family as we observe a working Amish dairy farm and step into their cider mill and learn how to make apple cider the old fashioned way. After our haystack lunch, we join a local expert gardener on a guided tour of the 17 unique quilt gardens and 17 official murals. The Quilt Gardens...along Heritage Trail joins quilting, gardening, and art into a one-of-a-kind event. A colorful patchwork of quilt inspired gardens and quilt-themed murals linked by the roads that form the Heritage Trail. This evening we will enjoy a hearty supper before heading over to the Round Barn Theatre to see the Broadway musical State Fair.
